Our new unit of study is Travels.  The focus of this study is for the child to develop an understanding of the how, why, and where of travel in our local community.  Please help your child by pointing out some of different ways that a person can travel from one place to another - by foot, car, or even hot air balloon.  A trip to our local airport could be a fun outing.  As always, be sure to check in with your child each day to see what he is learning at school.

Daily attendance is so important.  Each day breakfast is provided in the classroom to start our learning time.  Don't be late!

My conference time is 2:00-2:50 daily.  If you have any questions or concerns, please call the school office to schedule a conference time with me. If you have internet access, you may contact me at lbates@lufkinisd.org.  

Our library time is on Wednesday from 12:40-1:00.  Books are kept in the classroom to be enjoyed throughout the week.

We go to lunch at 10:42-11:12.  If you would like to join us, please feel free to come. Don't forget to check in at the office first.
